The Department of Pharmacology is housed in the T. Boone Pickens Biomedical Building on the north campus of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. We are actively involved in biomedical research in areas that span a broad range of approaches from integrative physiology and metabolism to molecular pharmacology and systems biology. The Department of Pharmacology is composed of 23 primary faculty members and 20 faculty members with secondary appointments. Our faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students are engaged in research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the State of Texas, and private organizations. The Department is also committed to training students from graduate programs within UT Southwestern Graduate School, from UT Southwestern Medical School, and from UT Southwestern Allied Health Sciences School.
