MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Charles and Jane Pak Center for Mineral Metabolism and Clinical Research at UT Southwestern Medical School is to provide excellence in clinical care of patients with diseases of mineral metabolism, to advance medical knowledge of the causes and treatments of such diseases, and to instruct and educate physicians in the practice of mineral metabolism.

OPERATIONAL GOALS
- To provide excellence in care for people with diseases of mineral metabolism.
- To identify and implement new knowledge of mineral metabolism and its disorders.
- To educate medical students and physicians-in-training to identify and manage people with diseases of mineral metabolism.

FINANCIAL/ADMINISTRATIVE GOALS
- To budget and manage funds in a cost effective and responsible manner.
- To safeguard assets through inventory and internal controls.
- To manage human resources fairly and effectively.
COMPLIANCE GOALS
- To ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws, policies and procedures relating to health, environmental safety, licensing, billing for physician services and confidentiality of medical and financial material.
