Division Chief's Welcome

The Rheumatic Diseases Division  has been recognized world-wide for more than 20 years as one of the leading research centers of its kind dealing with arthritis and rheumatic diseases.  Established in 1958, the Division has scores of accomplishments and is a recognized leader in the training of academic rheumatologists.  We welcome you to explore our site and learn more about our researchfacultyrheumatology fellowship program, and arthritis educator program .  There are opportunities available for collaboration with our faculty in a wide variety of acitivities including patient referrals, basic research, clinical trials, and clinical training

Our mission is to:

  • Provide excellent clinical care to patients while training the next generation of physicians.
  • Teaching good clinical care standards and professionalism.
  • Training residents and graduate students in an environment motivated by highly productive investigators.
  • Provide exceptional research both in the lab and in a clinical setting.
