The Mission of the Geriatrics Program of the Department of Internal Medicine is to improve the health and quality of life of the elderly through research, education and clinical care.

Our goals are:

• to promote scholarly investigation in age-related research;
  
  
• to promote and provide education in geriatrics and gerontology for health-care professionals and the lay community;
  
  
• to provide a center of excellence in geriatric care services.
