Philosophy

The UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas is a prestigious medical center, and is a special place to the students, staff, patients, and visitors. The Physical Plant Department plays an important role in nurturing this special place through cooperative interaction with the campus community, professional leadership in facilities management, and a commitment to service.

Mission

The Physical Plant Department is a service organization whose mission is to provide QUALITY SERVICE in support of the educational, research, health care, and community service goals of UT Southwestern.

Quality means the Physical Plant customers should feel they cannot get any of our services accomplished any better, anywhere else in the D/FW Metroplex.

Service is a positive action. The Physical Plant Department finds ways to get things done. The Physical Plant motto is:
