Content Management Application (CMA)
UT CMA system allows users with basic word processing skills to create and manage web pages for their departments through our web-based system. Access and approval cycles are determined and delegated by each department, thereby giving the power of content internally as opposed to relying on outside sources.
- The department delegates workflow, content category, users and emails. Please send requests to Melissa Manuel .
- We grant access through a UT Southwestern ID and Password. If you do not have a UT Southwestern ID and would like to have one set up please click here.
- Internet Services creates workflows and channels and assigns access to users.
We request that all users go through training before access is granted to the CMA. Client Services offers their CMA training once a month. The training schedule can be found at http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/training.
Faculty Directory Profiles
The Faculty Information System (FIS) is a directory of faculty and physicians within the UT Southwestern Medical Center network. FIS increases the visibility of faculty and their interests in the utsouthwestern.edu website and other third party search engines (ex. Google). Most faculty and physicians are found by name in the top five results listed within search engines
-
- Each faculty member will have a basic profile created when they join UT Southwestern Medical Center on a full-time basis. Once hired it takes between 30-60 days to get a profile created, using basic information from Human Resources and the Corporation.
- Once a profile has been created the faculty member has automatic access to add more information to his/her profile by logging in with a UT Southwestern ID. If you do not have a UT Southwestern ID and would like to have one set up please click here.
- The faculty member can also delegate task of editing his/her profile to another person (ie department manager, administrative assistant, etc.) To do this you must contact Web Services to request the assigned person be granted access to the profile. You can email Melissa Manuel with the faculty member's person number (PID) and the UT Southwestern ID of the person who will be editing the profile .
For further information regarding the editing process of a profile please refer to the Faculty Directory Guidelines.
ERGO
ERGO is a custom built Web-based system that allows forms and/or grants to be submitted electronically through institutional processes and to granting agencies (ex. NIH, Welch Foundation, American Heart Association). The system is designed to be paperless, but forms can be dynamically created in both Adobe PDF and Microsoft Word RTF file formats to meet strict print requirements. The tracking system allows content authors and approvers to visually watch their forms move through institutional approval processes. ERGO aggregates content from various institutional repositories including both relational databases and mainframes to populate known information about faculty into forms.
Send e-mail for questions and access information for ERGO to Christopher Perkins or contact Web Services, x83261.
