Program Requirements
- Grade of "C" or higher in the following required courses:
- 4 hours Anatomy *
- 4 hours Physiology *
- 3 hours Genetics
- 8 hours General Chemistry *
- 4 hours Organic Chemistry *
- 4 hours Microbiology *
- 3 hours Psychology
- 3 hours Math (College Algebra or higher)
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) with no minimum score requirement
- Minimum of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution prior to matriculation
- A recommended minimum of a 3.0 science and a 3.0 overall grade point average
- Recommended professional or "hands-on" health care experience
- Three letters of recommendation
- Applications for admissions completed by October 1 of the year preceding class commencement in May - CASPA online application
* Science courses must be for science majors and include a laboratory

- GRE score before October 1. The GRE code for The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is 6686.
- CASPA application by October 1
- Prerequisite coursework by December 31 of year of application
- Fall transcripts by February 1
- The upcoming class will begin their PA studies on Tuesday, May 26, 2009
