ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
DIVISION OF BURN TRAUMA CRITICAL CARE

The Division is seeking a surgeon at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to serve as the Associate Director of Surgical Critical Care.  Parkland Memorial Hospital is an ACS Level 1 Trauma Center with over 5,000 trauma admissions, 2,000 EGS operations, and the SICU with 3,000 annual admissions per year.

The successful candidate will assist the Director in expanding the Surgical Critical Care services to our two university hospitals with responsibility for protocol and database development, team building, medical student, resident and fellow education and eventual deployment of an electronic ICU backup.  The surgeon will provide clinical coverage on the Trauma and EGS service in 12 hour shifts at Parkland Memorial Hospital.  Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in training in trauma surgery, and ICU care of the transplant and neurologic patient with excellence collaborative and communication skills and a clinical research profile.  Send curriculum vitae and letters of recommendation to the following address:
