The Southwestern Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery is dedicated to high-quality research involving new technologies, as well as focusing on a variety of specific diseases.  Research efforts also focus on surgical education with investigatings regarding the validation of simulators for training outside of the traditional on-the-job environment.

Collaboration amongst numerous disciplines at UT Southwestern, as well as with other nationally and internationally prominent institutions foster world class research conducted by our center.
