- Why is the Gail model result I calculate with CancerGene a little bit different than the one I calculate with the NCI/NSABP risk disk?
CancerGene uses the same relative risks as the NCI/NSABP risk disk, but we use 1992-1994 SEER data to convert to age-specific probabilities while the NCI/NSABP risk disk uses 1983-1987 SEER data. This results in a slightly greater risk estimate for CancerGene
2. When I change information using the edit function, the changes are not saved.
- Always hit "Enter" after making a numeric entry, before clicking the "Done" button
- Whenever you select "New Pedigree" or "Exit" make sure you also click the "Save Changes" button when it appears.
