The one-year breast fellowship program at UT Southwestern Medical Center and affiliated hospitals includes a three to four month rotation in the fellow’s area of specialty, as well as one month rotations in other areas including:  Breast Imaging, Genetics, Medical Oncology, Pathology, Plastic Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Research, and Psycho-Oncology.

The primary site for training is the UT Southwestern Center for Breast Care.  The outpatient facilities for UT Southwestern Center for Breast Care are located on the third floor of the Seay Biomedical Building.  The Seay building includes the presence of a dedicated breast MRI system and offers a convenient setting for diagnostic evaluation, medical treatment, genetic counseling and cancer risk assessment, psychosocial support, high-risk patient monitoring, and many other important services for cancer patients.

Long recognized for excellence in cancer care, the  UT Southwestern University Hospitals are home to the Wendy and Emery Reves Diagnostic and Treatment Center for Breast Cancer. The University Hospitals have a total of 451 staffed beds with specialties in Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology, and Gynecology, among many others.

Parkland Memorial Hospital is the major adult teaching facility for UT Southwestern.  Frequently ranked among the best 25 hospitals in the nation, Parkland is licensed for 997 beds.  Parkland is a tax-supported institution operated by the Dallas County Hospital District.
