 PARKLAND INTERN CONTRACT

It is rumored that interns never rest, but of all the disciplines, surgery offers adequate time for those who wish to explore Dallas -- a high-tech city of glass skyscrapers and neon lights and neighboring Fort Worth -- Cowtown with culture.

The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex offers an interesting variety of personal and leisure-time activities. The region's cultural life includes regular seasons of symphony performances, popular concerts, theater, dance, opera, musicals, and hundreds of special appearances annually. There are many galleries and museums -- art and otherwise -- some of them world renown. Our freeway system allows easy access around the Metroplex to all of the different types of activities available.

Fans of professional sports can follow Cowboys football, Rangers baseball, Mavericks basketball, Sidekicks and Burn soccer, and STARS hockey. The mild climate in the Metroplex encourages outdoor activities. The area abounds in parks, tennis courts, golf courses, jogging and cycling trails, and lakes for water sports and sailing. Nearby state parks encourage camping and rock climbing. Six Flags Over Texas and other special attractions offer family entertainment.

The Metroplex has hundreds of restaurants offering everything from elegant dining in luxurious surroundings to good ol' bar-b-que in rustic eateries with sawdust on the floor and saddles for barstools. Dallas' historic West End Marketplace and the Galleria, along with Fort Worth's lively Sundance Square as well as hundreds of restaurants are among the popular destinations.
