This student-led organization provides information and activities to encourage students to explore the discipline of Family Medicine with topics such as career choice, leadership development, the Match, and clinical topics. Funding is provided by the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.

Typical Activities:

• MS0 Day: Represent the FPSA at this student activity for new first-year medical students
• Residency Fair: Texas and surrounding state Family Medicine Residency Programs show us their stuff
• Fall Gathering: Welcome new members
• Spring Membership Meeting: Meet to plan and refocus the activities for the second half of the year
• Senior Match Meeting: Seniors meet to discuss residencies before they turn in their rank list
• Casting & Splinting Workshop: Get hands-on experience on these clinical skills - led by department faculty and residents
