Welcome to Family and Community Medicine.

As part of one of the top academic medical centers in the world, UT Southwestern Family and Community Medicine is committed to improving health through innovative patient careresearch and education.

In the health care arena, the family physician serves as a patient's "quarterback" through managing day-to-day and overall care. Should the need arise, family physicians can coordinate and advocate for the services of specialists such as cardiologists, orthopedic surgeons, dermatologists, pulmonologists, oncologists, or any type of specialist.

At the Family Medicine Clinic, one of our strengths is a daily working relationship with hundreds of specialists at UT Southwestern affiliated hospitals. UT Southwestern ranks among the top academic medical centers in the world and has advanced technologies in imaging, expertise in minimally invasive surgery, and an outstanding reputation as a leader in cancer, cardiovascular care, neurological disorders and digestive diseases.

Our family physicians also serve as medical center faculty because they want to enhance the discipline of family medicine by training future family physicians and by finding better ways to deliver health services.

If you are interested in using the services of the Family Medicine Clinic, please go to the Patient Care Services section of our Web site.
