Mission

The mission of the Office of Grants Management is to provide high quality service and administrative expertise to the University's research community, and to represent the interests of the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System in its contractual relationships with external sponsors.

 

The Office of Grants Management:

Notifies researchers regarding funding opportunities and sponsor policies and procedures.

Reviews and processes proposals for submission to sponsors, negotiates awards and contracts.

Receives awards and establishes accounts in conjunction with the Office of Post Award Administration.

Assists in postaward administrative issues such as receiving and acknowledging checks for awards, rebudgeting, time extensions, submission of timely technical reports, etc.

 

Accountability

The Office of Grants Management reports to the Associate Dean for Research.
