Grants Training Sessions:
OGM Staff provide training sessions that cover National Institutes of Health (NIH) forms and guidelines for submitting grant applications. In addition, OGM staff provides guidance on preparing grant applications for other current sponsor’s programs. OGM staff will also provide instructions on how to use the “Proposal Review Certification Form”, (eOGM-1) and "Grant/Contract Prior Approval Form" (eOGM-10). Level 1 Training Class: "Grants 101"
Grants 101 is a basic training class designed to educate individuals about the Office of Grants Management and its role and responsibilities. The class provides general information to faculty and staff new to UT Southwestern or those new to working in a grants environment. The training focuses on what UT Southwestern requires to submit a grant or contract to a sponsor. Topics covered will include internal forms, application deadlines, routing for signature, compliance, and other internal processes.
Level 2 Training Class: SF424, PHS 398, PHS 2590 Form Sets

To enroll please follow these instructions: Login to OAS. Type Form and press enter. Type ENR and then press enter. Under Class type press F1 look for CLISEV (client services). Under Class F1 type GRNIH and enroll.
ERGO: (Electronic Research Grant Organizer) Detailed Training
The Office of Research Administration provides ERGO training. The training is provided in the Level 1 and 2 grant training sessions. It is also provided on a requested basis for departmental, divisional, or personal levels. Training will comprise of delegation, form generation, form tracking, and specific user needs.
