Gary E. Lemack, M.D.

Assistant Professor of Urology

 

Special interests:   female urology, male and female incontinence, prolapse, voiding dysfunction related to neurologic diseases, urodynamics

Dr. Lemack is the Director of Female Urology and Urodynamics at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, TX and Director of Neurourology at UT Southwestern. He authored or co-authored over 40 journal articles and 9 book chapters. He was recently awarded a grant by The Mobility Foundation at the University of Texas to initiate a study of the effects of spinal cord injury on smooth muscle function in the murine bladder. His clinical practice specializes in all major treatments for incontinence in both men and women and voiding disorders in patients with neurologic diseases.

 

  

Philippe E. Zimmern, M.D.

Professor of Urology

Dr. Zimmern is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.) and is the director of UT Southwestern’s Bladder and Incontinence Treatment Center, which he established in 1997. He has written over 125 articles on female urology and over 30 book chapters. Dr. Zimmern is an editorial reviewer for three major urology journals and has been awarded “Best Doctor of America” several times. His specialty includes nearly all major methods for treating urinary incontinence, including minimally invasive procedures (injectable agents, biofeedback) and surgical treatments (slings, vaginal suspension, abdominal retropubic procedures).
