Cardiac Imaging

Cardiac MRI is offered at several facilities within UT Southwestern.  A referral from your primary physician is needed prior to scheduling a cardiac MRI.

Special Information: The following patients require discussion with MR center personnel prior to scheduling:

• patients with cardiac pacemakers and defribrillators,
• patients with cerebral aneurysm clips,
• patients with cochlear implants,
• patients with metal fragments in the eye,
• patients who might be pregnant,
• patients with intrauterine devices (IUDs), and
• patients with implanted nerve, muscle, or bone stimulation wires.
