The mission of the Department of Radiation Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center is to provide the highest quality radiation treatment to patients in a multidisciplinary cancer care setting. We emphasize translational and other clinical research, and promote excellence in the education of radiation oncology professionals.

Faculty in the Department of Radiation Oncology provide care to patients at the world-class Moncrief Radiation Oncology Center, an affiliate of the Simmons Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, as well as at Methodist Richardson Cancer Center.

We are the only center in the country to have the following technology in one department: Gamma Knife, Synergy-S, Trilogy, CyberKnife and 4D CT scan. With these technological advances in place, we are able to deliver the most comprehensive radiation therapy available. Our cutting-edge technology is utilized to deliver compassionate, detailed patient care.  The Department of Radiation Oncology is a dynamic, caring place to work!
