The mission of the Department of Radiation Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center is to provide the highest quality radiation treatment to complement other cancer specialties in a multidisciplinary cancer care setting, emphasizing translational and other clinical research, and to provide excellence in educating physicians, scientists and therapists in clinical and research endeavors in radiation oncology.

Faculty in the Department of Radiation Oncology provide care to patients at Moncrief Radiation Oncology Center, Parkland Health and Hospital System, UT Southwestern University Hospital - St. Paul, UT Southwestern University Hospital - Zale Lipshy, and the Simmons Cancer Center.

Earlier this year, we became the only center in the country to have the following technology in one department: Gamma Knife, Synergy-S, Trilogy, CyberKnife and 4D scan. With these technological advances in place, we are able to deliver the most comprehensive radiation therapy available. Our cutting edge technology is utilized to deliver compassionate, detailed patient care.  The Department of Radiation Oncology is a dynamic, caring place to work!
