 Chairman's Statement

Behavioral and Psychiatric Services (BPS) provides service for dual diagnosis (MR/MI) patients through four services: Assessment, Counseling, Outpatient and Behavior services.  Accurate evaluation and on-going support from psychiatric and/or behavioral interventions minimize the loss of community or vocational placements and subsequently the need for re-hospitalization.  BPS is designed to provide the services and support to people three years and older who have mental retardation and mental illness or severe behavioral challenges, so that they may be successful living and working in the community.

This second year rotation is held ½ day weekly for 2 ½ months. On-site supervision is provided by James Baker, M.D.
