| The Salesmanship Club of Dallas, Inc. (SCD) is a not-for-profit civic service organization of business professionals dedicated to improving the future of children and their families. SCD raises funds to support the charitable work of the Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers, Inc., an independent, not-for-profit human service agency. Through respectfulness, stewardship and innovation in our programs and research, and by sharing our programs with others, Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers, Inc. (SCYFC) seeks to: • Improve the futures of children who are experiencing or are vulnerable to emotional, behavioral and learning difficulties; and • Collaborate with families and others in finding solutions to these challenges. Our purpose is to affirm and enhance our clients’ competencies and to enrich their lives and communities. By developing demonstration programs, conducting research, and offering professional training, we hope to help our field extend the base of understanding in supporting children and their families. Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers, Inc., offer children and their families two programs: a community school and a family center. The J. Erik Jonsson Community School is located in North Oak Cliff. It is a private school (pre-K - 6th grades) that emphasizes enriched learning, connections with the community and enhancement of relationship skill building in a year-round program. The Family Center provides therapy, psychological testing and other assistance to families with troubled children (birth to 20). Services are provided at two locations; Oak Cliff Center at 106 E. Tenth St. and Northwest Center at 3003 LBJ, Suite 228. There has been approval for the development of another program, Family Works Program, to begin in 2006. This program is located at an additional site and will provide an after school treatment program, early childhood and family assessment program and family education programs. In addition, SCYFC offers a comprehensive research program and a therapy-training program called The Reunion Institute. First Year fellows meet at this site Thursdays, from 4:45 pm – 7 pm. Second Year Fellows have the opportunity to continue seeing families at this site. The residency training staff consists of two doctoral level and one master level individuals. The family therapy unit as a whole has six doctoral level and 5 masters level therapist. A variety of licenses is held by the staff including: Psychologist, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and Licensed Professional Counselor.
