The Psychology Division of the Dallas County Juvenile Department provides comprehensive psychological services to youth who are referred to the Juvenile Justice System and their families. These services include psychological evaluations, individual group and family psychotherapy, psycho-educational training and anger management as well as consultation to the courts, probation officers, and institutional staff.

The second year Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellows help provide these services by working with these adolescents ½ day per week on each 2½ month rotation. On-site supervision is provided by Patrick Young, M.D.

This site serves as an internship site to the major universities in the metroplex:  The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Women’s University.
