The Systems and Data Center Operations Division of Information Resources is directed by Ed Ames and is responsible for providing support for computing, database, and storage infrastructure for centrally managed systems in the following areas:

Operations -- Resource Management – 24 by 7 personnel coverage for Data Center resources.
Backup Storage responsibilities and problem notification.
Workstation support for standardized clinical workstations and student workstations.
GroupWise and Novell file and print services.
Blackberry Enterprise Server administration
Departmental network applications support.
Operating System support for VMS, Solaris, Win/NT, and RedHat UNIX.
Database support for MUMPS and MS/SQL servers.
Software disk duplication support.
DHS and DHCP support.
E-mail pop services and SMTP forwarding, including virus checking.
Server support for various departmental servers
