The Health System Information Resources Division of Information Resources under the leadership of Suresh Gunasekaran, Assistant Vice President, supports the clinical, financial, and administrative operations of the UT Southwestern Health System/Clinical Practice, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
This includes
- consulting with faculty, physicians and clinical departments on information systems projects that can maximize their efficiency and effectiveness
- defining requirements, developing and installing systems utilizing appropriate information technology to provide cost effective, customer-oriented solutions
- providing project management services to coordinate the installation of departmental and enterprise level clinical systems
- providing user and application support for clinical applications serving as a partner to develop solutions to enhance the delivery of quality patient care
