The Department of Physiology hosts a seminar series each month at 4 PM on Mondays, alternating with a faculty works-in-progress and a postdoctoral works-in-progress. Postdoctoral fellows and graduate students are expected to attend the Physiology Department-sponsored seminars to ensure broad training within our academic training programs. An important aspect of the training of postdoctoral fellows and graduate students is the development of speaking skills. Opportunities are offered for trainees to speak about their ongoing research in the departmental or graduate program works-in-progress as well as several institutionally sponsored poster sessions during the year.
