Each year, we have the need for additional help in our OMS clinical rotations and/or in research. We accept individuals for a one-year commitment out of those individuals who do not match or those who are interested in OMS but who have not yet applied to an OMS training program. Individuals selected for the clinical positions function as first-year residents but are not given a guarantee of entering our program the following year. They are paid the same stipend as a first year resident.

For those interested, please download, complete and send the Extern_Application to Dr. Ellis. Interns are typically selected immediately after the match, so if you do not match with an OMS training program, contact Dr. Edward Ellis immediately to see whether we have any one-year internships available.
