One of the exciting new diagnostics devices in our clinic is the Heidelberg Retinal Tomograph (HRT).  This state of the art diagnostic device aids in the early diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

The standard view on the HRT shows a topographical map on the left and a standard view similar to that of a fundus camera on the right.
The individual frames can also be viewed along with a representation of their height.
By processing the 32 individual image slices the HRT can build a simulated 3D motion picture.  This mode is also useful for imaging some types of tumors and other pathologies of the retina.
Another useful tool is the 3D Anaglyph mode.  In this view the 32 individual frames are built into a 3D anaglyph viewable with either red @ green glasses or red and blue glasses.  The process is the same as the 3D movies from the late 50's and early 60's.
