Each of our oncologists is on the faculty of UT Southwestern Medical Center and serves a teaching role. In many cases, these academic physicians are also laboratory and clinical scientists, who direct cancer research efforts at the medical center. Aiding their efforts, our physicians engage in scientific interactions with other distinguished researchers at UT Southwestern. It is from this wealth of knowledge that physicians in the Simmons Cancer Center can offer patients the most advanced techniques in genetic screening and diagnostic problem-solving, as well as opportunities to participate in clinical trials of promising investigational treatments.
