The Office of Medical Education provides consultation and support for faculty in activities related to medical education. These include:
- the Effective Teacher Series 2007-2008, a faculty development seminar to improve teaching skills, occurring twice a month throughout the academic year. Any faculty may attend these sessions.
- a medical education expert who can assist with the following activities:

- Writing assessment questions
- Evaluating specific courses
- Evaluating instruction
- Developing learning goals and objectives
- Designing methods and tools to assess educational effectiveness
- Conducting statistical analysis to support evaluation and assessment
- Conducting and publishing medical education research
- Identifying the linkages of evaluation results to performance improvement
- Provide technical assistance to evaluation and assessment
- Provide resources to assist faculty to improve instruction, use evaluation tools, and improve evaluation literacy.
