The Department of Internal Medicine is organized into divisions that provide the excellent education, research and patient care for which the department is renowned. Use the links below to access their fellowship programs. Amongst the resources available to our fellows is the Physician Scientist Training Program under the auspices of which our internationally renowned faculty provide highly individualized scientific mentorship in preparation for a career in biomedical research.
Salary levels for subspecialty fellowships are as follows;
Fellowship Year 1: PGY4
Fellowship Year 2: PGY5
Fellowship Year 3 or more: PGY6
Fellowship Year 4: PGY 7 (Restricted to programs that offer advanced training certification that can only be accomplished with a 4th year of clinical training)
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine Fellowship Programs only accept permanent residents or J-1 ECFMG sponsored visas. We do not offer H1-B visas.
