The Friends of the Center for Human Nutrition consist of individuals or families that contribute yearly to the Center's research program. The funds provided by the Friends go 100% to supporting the Center's research. None goes to University overhead. The money is used primarily to support young nutrition investigators called Clinical Nutrition Research Fellows. Most of the Friends-supported research fellows have become academic investigators during research in human nutrition. This employment of Friend's support thus is amplified many times over through the development of life-longer researchers.

Joining the Friends makes you part of the effort to improve the quality of life today and for the next century. Your membership will support the research of promising young scientists and ensure that excellent nutrition research continues well into the future. Your membership also entitles you to receive the Center for Human Nutrition Newsletter, the Fresh News postcard eight times a year, to attend regular meetings with other members of the Friends and distinguished nutrition scientists, and to receive letters from Dr. Scott M. Grundy clarifying and updating current nutrition issues.
