| Our one-year program offers a year of transition in which the fellow's surgical pathology skills and confidence can be improved prior to entering practice. Our fellows (assistant instructors) will be primarily responsible for daily sign out of surgical pathology cases with our residents at Parkland Health & Hospital System (25,000 surgicals). Requirements: Applicants must have completed an approved straight anatomic or AP/CP residency program, and obtain a license to practice medicine in Texas. Educational Goals: Improve the fellow's skills and confidence in the practice of general surgical pathology. Rotations: General surgical pathology at Parkland Memorial Hospital. Electives if time permits. Conferences: Daily surgical pathology consultants conference. Various didactic, unknown slide and tumor board conferences occur throughout the year.
