In addition to Liver Rounds held in the Faculty Club, a number of other functions are held during the year. These include two or three house staff picnics; a Christmas party and a spring dinner dance for house staff, fellows, and faculty; and numerous informal parties, cookouts, golf tournaments, and other events throughout the year. Each spring, Interns' Day Off leaves patient care to the residents and attending staff, while the interns enjoy boating, swimming, and softball at a lakeside party. The strong esprit de corps at Southwestern is evident in the amount of social contact among house staff outside the hospital.  Click here for more recreation pictures
