The Department of Dermatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center is known nationally and internationally for excellence in patient care, physician education, and biomedical research.  Although serving primarily as a tertiary care service for patients referred by other physicians, the faculty also care for patients with common diseases of the skin, hair, and nails.  Their knowledge of the latest advances in dermatological research is coupled with established experience in patient care, thus providing the most optimal treatment available.

For information regarding billing and collections, accepted insurance plans, making an appointment, and prescription refills, please click on the appropriate link listed on the left side of this page.  Below is information regarding emergency situations and guest and patient services available.

Emergencies

Although emergencies are uncommon in Dermatology, they do occur.  Therefore, a 24-hour answering service is provided for our patients.  Your call will be answered by one of our faculty members or resident physicians.  Our 24-hour telephone number is (214) 648-5750.

Guest and Patient Services

We want to ensure that your visit to our campus is as convenient and comfortable as possible. Arrangements for wheelchairs or other special assistance can be made by calling a Patient Services Representative at (214) 648-3648.

Because UT Southwestern is an institution dedicated to preserving and promoting health, our campus is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not permitted in any of the facilities or on the medical center grounds.

We also have a pharmacy located on the lobby level at the Aston Ambulatory Care Center for your convenience.  To contact the pharmacy, please call (214) 648-2422.
