Welcome to Dermatology Clinical Trials
The Department of Dermatology Clinical Trials Unit is currently looking for subjects with Porphyria Cutanea Tarda to participate in a 6 month study involving an investigational oral medication.
Eligible subjects include:
- Adults 18 years of age or older with a diagnosis of PCT confirmed by clinical examination and 24-hour urine porphyrin levels.
- Subjects who have had PCT for a least 3 months prior to enrollment with active blistering (minimum of 3 blisters or erosions per month).
- Subjects who have had no previous treatment for PCT or who are unresponsive or intolerant to phlebotomy.
- Willing to come for approximately 14 visits within a 6 month period.
