When physical disorders become chronic in nature, there are often psychiatric sequelae associated with them.  Investigators in the Division of Psychology are conducting research to better understand how to manage the comorbidity of physical and mental health disorders.  The great majority of this research is translational in nature.  That is to say, what is the best method to employ in order to apply or "translate" research from the laboratory to the "real world."  These investigators are actively involved in research aimed at developing the best intervention strategies to use in treating patients with comorbid disorders.
