Office of the Clinical Services Initiative

The Office of the Clinical Services Initiative has been established under the direction of Dr. John D. Rutherford, Vice President for Clinical Operations, to lead Southwestern’s plan for transforming patient care.  The Clinical Services Initiative is working with many people, both inside and outside the Medical Center, to plan and develop this project.  

The Office of the Clinical Services Initiative has invited Task Forces of diverse health care personnel  to develop, review and recommend “best  practices” for our primary care and speciality services.  The Executive Committee of the Clinical Chairs reviews and endorses these recommendations on behalf of the clinical practice.

The implementation of these recommendations involves Medical School Administration, Hospital and Ambulatory Services Administrations, Medical Directors and Clinic Managers working with the following staff:
