Wood carving

The image (left) is a digital photograph of a wood carving. The carving was done by Guenter Krejs, M.D. and presented to Dr. John Dietschy in celebration of his birthday.

Dr. Krejs was a faculty member in the Gastroenterology division at that time. He is now the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the University of Graz, Austria.

We have adapted the digital image of the wood carving and used it on the division's web pages and computers.

Dr. Krejs, when on his regular visits to Dallas, and many other former fellows and faculty, participate in the weekly Clinical Conference of the division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. It is held on Thursdays between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. in F4.118, the same day and location for over 30 years.
