CT Health Screening Scans screen for heart disease, lung cancer, and other disorders. Early detection of disease can save many lives.
The CT Health Screening Scan can detect lung cancer and frequently finds incidental tumors, cancers, and other disorders, years before the patient experiences symptoms. Early discovery of deadly disease in their infancy may allow the patient to make life style changes which may slow, stop, or even reverse the progression of the disease.
CT Health Screening can detect traces of calcification in the coronary arteries, which can indicate early heart disease. Measurement of the calcium is then compared to a database of patients within the same demographic group to determine risk. With early detection of heart disease, the patient can work with a physician to take aggressive action to prevent ever becoming symptomatic.
