DEXA Scan
CT Bone Densitometry is a fast, accurate, and convenient tool that uses a DEXA scanner to detect Osteoporosis. This procedure takes approximately 15 minutes to perform and does not require any preparation. For patients unable to go for DEXA scanning due to body size, we offer CT Bone Density Screening.
Osteoporosis Bone Densitometry screening should be considered beginning at the age of 55-65 years of age or if you have a family history of Osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis leads to decreased bone strength and increases risk for fractures. This condition is more common among women because of the loss of estrogen that occurs with aging; however, both men and women are at risk.
