Reporting Concerns about Animal Care and Use

 

Rationale

The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) has the responsibility for reviewing and investigating concerns about possible deficiencies in animal care and use at UT Southwestern, whether such concerns are received from the public or from University personnel.

Concerns regarding possible deficiencies in animal care and use should be made known to:

Calls are answered 24 hours a day, 365 day a year

For more information on the IACUC’s procedures for investigating concerns please refer to the IACUC’s Non-Compliance Reporting policy.

No University employee, IACUC member, laboratory personnel, or student will be discriminated against or be subject to any reprisal for reporting concerns regarding possible deficiencies in animal care and treatment.

This policy is applicable to concerns reported regarding animal care and use at UT Southwestern.
