Arrival of New Principal Investigators

Rationale:

The IACUC will facilitate the relocation of incoming Principal Investigators (PIs) to UT Southwestern by making the transfer of protocols as easy and efficient as possible.

Policy:

The IACUC will allow incoming PIs and their animal care staff up to 60 days after arrival on campus to complete enrollment in the Worker Protection Program (WPP).  Protocols approved without WPP enrollment will be suspended 60 days after arrival of the PI if enrollment in the WPP is not completed.

Applicability:

This policy applies to all new PIs and their animal care staff entering UT Southwestern.
