Information for International Medical Graduates We accept applications from international medical graduates (and US graduates) only through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Our residency is very competitive and receives nearly 600 applications for each new class of 19 trainees. Last year we interviewed 120 candidates. Since the beginning of the residency, we have had three international medical graduates in the residency; two of the three had prior training in the United States. As you consider applying to our program, please be advised of the following: • You must be certified by the ECFMG. • You must be eligible for a Postgraduate Training Permit from the State of Texas to train here. Information is available from the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. • Please do not send CV’s or requests for brochures/applications via mail service or email. |
