The office for Technology Development is responsible for a variety of activities relating to technology transfer.  The primary responsibilities for the technology development program at UT Southwestern include:

  »  Develop and execute patent strategy

  »  Initiate and manage patent filing process

  »  Develop and execute commercialization strategy

  »  Manage jointly owned intellectual property

  »  Educate inventors

  »  Monitor licensee compliance

  »  Administer inventor compliance

  »  Manage UT Southwestern's Intellectual Property Advisory Committee
