Parking Security
Uniformed parking enforcement officers will, from time to time, monitor the entrances and exits of lots and garages. They can also answering parking-related questions and provide help to stranded motorists.

Parking Enforcement
Parking services employs parking enforcement officers to enforce parking policies in lots, garages and for on-street parking. Parking citations will be issued for:

Category A ($100 fine)

  • Illegally parked in handicapped zone
  • Fraudulent decal/permit/hangtag

Category B ($50 fine)

  • Parked in fire lane

Categoy C ($50 fine)

  • Blocking loading docks/dumpsters
  • Parking in reserved space
  • Parking on campus property while parking privileges are suspended

Category D ($50 fine)

  • Parking a no parking zone
  • Unauthorized parking, misc.
  • Parking in official guest only spaces
  • Parking in wrong direction
  • Parking in the visitor lot
  • Parking in in-patient areas
  • Altering of temporary hangtag (i.e., changed date)
  • Improperly displayed decal
  • Exceeded time limit
  • Invalid hangtag
  • No decal/hangtag visible

Appeals must be made within 10 days of the date of issuance of the citation. Forms are available from parking services at mail code 9026, may be picked up at the Parking Services office, or you may use the traffic appeal request form below. A $10 late-fee penalty will be assessed for citations not paid or appealed within 10 days of issuance.
