The program was initiated in 1963 and since 1970, all administrative teaching and training functions are carried out at UT Southwestern. Applicants are evaluated on a competitive basis. The Admissions Committee has typically been authorized to select from eight to 12 new students each year. All admissions are subject to the approval of the Graduate Studies Committee for Clinical Psychology and the Dean of Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
