Students applying for admission to the Biomedical Communications Graduate Program must submit a digital or a 35mm slide portfolio, including at least six life drawings, four renderings in pencil or pen and ink, examples of watercolor, acrylic or oil painting, digital art, design problems, and various other art techniques.  Examples of photography, sculpture, and ceramics may also be included.  Drawings and paintings should not be done from photographs.  In special cases where photographs are used, such as graphic design projects, it should be so noted in the description. A written description, including specific assignment, medium, date, and size of original should accompany the portfolio. The artist's name should be written on each slide mount.  There should be a minimum of 20 pieces of artwork.

Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like your portfolio returned.

Applications and portfolios for admission to the program must be submitted by September 1. Applications and portfolios for late admission must be submitted by February 1. Late applications will only be considered if the class is not filled from regular admissions. A personal on-campus interview may be required in the final review process. Classes begin in late May.
