Description of the 2007-08 $32,000/year Welch Fellowship

Welch Fellowship applications for the 2006-07 academic year are now closed.  The 2007-08 application process will be available in early September.

Students interested in applying for a Welch Foundation/UT Southwestern Graduate Fellowship in Chemistry should complete an application for the Graduate School.  On the Graduate School application, clearly state your interest in being considered for a Welch Foundation/UT Southwestern Fellowship in your personal statement, explaining how your participation will benefit you and the University.

The Chemistry Evening Seminar Series provides students at UT Southwestern the chance to learn about current advances in chemistry from leading chemists around the United States and elsewhere.

Graduate School application:  Application for the fellowship is made during the process of applying to the Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.   In the personal statement section of the application, clearly state your interest in being considered for a Welch Foundation/UT Southwestern Fellowship, explaining how your participation will benefit you and the University.  Applications for Fall 2008 will open in early September 2007, with a deadline of April 1, 2008.
