The UT Southwestern MSTP welcomes applications from all applicants regardless of state or country of residence or origin. Application to UT Southwestern's MST Program requires completion of the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) On-Line Application. This application will permit you to submit essays describing your interest in the integrated M.D./Ph.D. program and is the only application form you must submit for the UT Southwestern MSTP. AMCAS will collect additional supporting documents, including official transcripts & MCAT scores (GREs are not required), and these will be forwarded to us with your application. You should send three or more letters of recommendation, including letters from all research mentors, to UT Southwestern MSTP at the address below. Please ask referees to comment specifically on the nature of your project(s) and your potential as a research scientist. Letters may be sent through an electronic submission service by indicating that UT Southwestern MSTP should receive copies. Please note that the deadline for the AMCAS application is December 1, 2007 for admission to the entering class of 2008.

Under some circumstances, an applicant might want to be considered for BOTH UT Southwestern MSTP and the traditional MD-only program. If you are such a student, in addition to the AMCAS, you must complete the application for Texas Medical and Dental Schools (TMDSAS) and the UT Southwestern Medical School Secondary Application. Please see the Medical School Admissions Information webpage for more details.
