ELECTIVES

The goal of the elective rotations is to obtain experience with infections in hosts not commonly seen on other rotations (e.g. Pediatric ID, Bone Marrow Transplant, solid organ transplant). Electives also allow fellows to explore areas of interest in clinical or basic research, such as infection control and epidemiology, Molecular Virology, the AIDS Clinical Trial Unit, and laboratories conducting basic science research in parasitology, virology, bacteriology, or immunology. Teaching and feedback are provided by the ID faculty member who supervises the elective rotation.
